Succeeding With Article Marketing

By Ludo Vincent

If you want more visitors to your website, you probably realize that article marketing has been a long time strategy for many site owners. Any articles you write will generally have clickable links to your websites as well as giving people something to read about regarding your subject matter. The intention is to get your reader sufficiently interested to go to your website to discover more about what you have written. So let's take a look at what is needed to ensure your article writing gets results.

The first point to establish is what are you going to write about. If we presume that you own a site that you would like to drive traffic to, then understandably you will already know what your market is. Hence, truly it amounts to what is different about what is on your website and what is in your article. One quick way to look at this is that when writing articles, you are simply supplying information and displaying that you know what you are talking about. Basically, this will then cause the reader to be more interested. The solution they are looking for will be provided on your site. So let's look at the structure of an article.

A person will first view your headline, so you need to get this right. There will be other people in your niche who will also be writing articles. If you want your article read, take care with the title you use. Motivating someone to know more or that there is a missing piece are techniques that can be effective. The strongest headlines cannot be left without an individual feeling compelled to proceed to read the article. If you are interested, have a look at magazine ads or ones on the streets. Determine how specific ads capture your interest.

For your market, the intent is to write articles that provide value and exhibit your knowledge. Even though you want more traffic to your site, this will not be accomplished if your articles are not of good quality. Bear in mind that your writing needs to sufficiently engage the interest of the reader. The next step is someone wanting to view more of your writing and your site could be their next stop. Good content will be spread around the internet. Another site owner may use your article as information for his readers. As such, you will be seen across the internet.

Once you have written your article, you will complete an author bio. The aim is for any reader to click through to your website for more details once they have seen your article. By providing value, you will then be able to direct people to your site to provide the answers they may be seeking. You can provide clear instructions on how they receive whatever you may be offering on your sites such as a newsletter or more facts. The author bio, therefore, tells a reader where to go next just as your title asks them to carry on reading.

So, at the start of your article, you want someone to carry on reading and at the end you direct them to your site.
